Great
Had three receptacles that didn't work (two outside; one inside). Contacted Mussumeci Electric. Mike, the owner, did send one of his electricians, along with a kid helper (maybe a high schooler) the same day. Both dilly-dallied about (the kid followed the electrician around or just played on his cell phone; and neither took off or covered their dirty/grimy work boots while traipsing/snooping throughout my entire house.) After nearly an hour, electrician told me the problem was that the circuit breaker just needed to be turned on and off, the three receptacles were working and charged $115 (service call and one hour for electrician). I paid his fee. The next day, my husband went to use the outside receptacle and it didn't work. He checked the other two and they didn't work either! Contacted Mike Mussumeci again. Electrician and kid came out again (I must say, same day). Same scenario... traipsing throughout the house (with their dirty boots/snooping). The kid actually dropped the toilet seat cover, and sat and played on his phone for a while. The electrician said he needed to replace five receptacles (even though only three were not working). In any event, the electrician charged me for two hours of his time and one hour of the kids' time .... at the licensed electrician's rate (another $184)!! When I questioned it, I was told "he didn't charge me a second service charge." WOW, well I would hope he didn't since he didn't do anything to fix it the first time! Meanwhile, when I checked all the receptacles, he had replaced one of the receptacles in white (even though all others were in ivory). I contacted Mussumeci Electric again and complained about the charge for the kid. His response was "What do you want me to do about it?" I said I didn't think I should have been charged the rate of a licensed electrician for a kid helper, who didn't even do anything but sit around and play on his cell phone. Mike really did not care about what I had to say. I also told him about the dirty boots and the wrong color receptacle was installed in my bathroom (one of the ones that WAS working, btw) and that I wanted it replaced ... at no cost. He did send his electrician back the next day, (wore boot covers this time) and he replaced this receptacle to the right color. And guess what? This time, he was here for less than five minutes to replace the receptacle. Granted, there was absolutely no "troubleshooting," it is amazing how fast he could replace a receptacle when he's not charging by the hour!! If you need an electrician, find another company.
